How it all got started...
Ten years ago, as ducks and geese became more scarce and harder to hunt than ever here in the South, I started looking at ways I could improve my hunting success within the confines of the things I could control. Cover was the number one thing on that short list.
In my garage I built a simple system that completely covered the pit, yet moved out of the way in an instant with the pull of a pin. It wasn't pretty, but it worked-and the results were better than I ever expected.
THE APEX PREDATOR IS BORN....
The Apex Predator Glidetop™ is the new and improved commercial version of this idea. Its an adjustable, all-aluminum and stainless-steel concealment system designed to fit most pit blinds. Lightweight, transportable and built to withstand years in the elements.
We plan to offer this product at Flatland-Outdoors.com this fall, hopefully just in time for hunting season.

The original glide top
The original glide top was homemade using materials purchased at a local hardware store. The concept worked great for ten seasons, but the design was crude and its functionality was somewhat cumbersome. Nevertheless, it proved to be deadly.
The Apex Predator is born
The Apex Predator takes the original concept, but uses premium materials, drastically improves its functionality and makes the system fully adjustable so it fits most pit blinds and is easy to install /remove so it can be taken with you anywhere.
